PART A: BUSINESS TERMS

1. Our Business

We buy gold, precious metals, diamonds, and jewelry from the public. This website is for informational and booking purposes only. We do not operate an online storefront or sell products via this website.

2. Rules for Sellers

By offering items to us for valuation or sale, you affirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to enter into a transaction.
  • You are the legal owner of the items (or have official written permission from the owner to sell them).
  • The items are entirely free from any legal disputes, liens, or third-party claims.

3. ID and Legal Requirements

  • To comply with the South African Second-Hand Goods Act and FICA, you are legally required to provide:
  • A valid, original South African ID or Passport.
  • A proof of residential address (not older than 3 months).
  • By law, we record all transactions and safely keep copies of your ID for five (5) years. Stolen goods are strictly prohibited and will be reported to the South African Police Service (SAPS) immediately.

4. Testing & Market Prices

  • Testing: We use standard industry tests like acid testing, filing and x-ray scanning” to accurately value your metal. We are not responsible for minor cosmetic marks left by these standard testing procedures if you choose not to sell.
  • Prices: Our valuation offers are calculated based on live global gold market prices. Quotes are highly timesensitive estimates and can change instantly until a formal transaction receipt is executed.

5. Final Sales

Once you accept our offer, and we initiate payment the sale is final and legally binding. Ownership transfers to us immediately; items cannot be returned, and the transaction cannot be reversed.

PART B: PRIVACY & COOKIES (POPIA)

6. Your Personal Information

In line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), we only collect basic details (like your name, email address, and phone number) that you voluntarily send us through our contact forms or booking systems to fulfill your requests.

7. Keeping Your Data

We protect your personal data using standard commercial security measures. We do not sell or rent your information. We securely hold your transaction details and ID copies for the legally required 5-year period, after which they are safely destroyed.

8. Cookies & Google Ads

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to improve our website experience and deliver relevant advertising. By using this site, you acknowledge our use of these tools for performance and advertising purposes. These tools utilize cookies to analyze browsing behavior and serve tailored ads. You can choose to reject or manage tracking cookies at any time through your web browser settings.

9. Your Rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you or request that we update or correct it by emailing us.

10. Legal Responsibility

We provide this website on an “as is” basis and are not liable for website downtime or technical errors. These terms are governed entirely by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

By offering, or selling any gold or precious metals to us, you (the Seller) expressly guarantee that the items are 100% authentic, genuine, and exactly match the weight, karat, and purity specified in the transaction details. This guarantee is absolute. It applies whether or not you were personally aware of any counterfeiting or defects.

All items received are subject to testing and verification by our certified assayers. If any item is found by third-party testing to be counterfeit, gold-plated, filled (e.g., with tungsten or lead), or of lower purity than stated:

Immediate Rejection: The transaction will be cancelled immediately.

No Return of Fakes: We reserve the right to retain counterfeit items to hand over to law enforcement and will not return fake merchandise.

If you sell or attempt to sell us counterfeit items, you are in material breach of this agreement. We explicitly retain the right to pursue full civil legal action and/or criminal fraud charges against you.

You agree to fully reimburse (indemnify) us for all resulting financial losses, including:

  • The full purchase price or advanced funds.
  • All independent assay and laboratory testing fees.
  • All legal fees, collection costs, and court expenses incurred while recovering our funds.

Our right to take legal action or demand a full refund does not expire upon completion of the transaction. If a counterfeit is detected at any point after payment has been processed, we maintain the full legal right to recover all losses from you.
